I wanted to take a few minutes to up-date you about the 2012 meeting of the multi-state extension and research coordinating meeting for small grain diseases east of the Rocky Mountains (NCERA-184). As you may recall, the last time we met the committee decided to meet in conjunction with the International IPM Symposium scheduled for March 27-29, 2012 in Memphis, TN. We also proposed a special session on success stories from the FHB within the IPM symposium.
Marcia McMullen and Gary Bergstrom have been corresponding with the organizers of the IPM Symposium to work out the logistical details for the NCERA-184 meeting. If I understand correctly, the special session titled Success in Integrated management of Fusarium Head Blight of Wheat in the US is scheduled for the afternoon of March 27th (2:45-5:00pm). The official meeting of the NCERA-184 committee will occur during the evening of that same day and will probably begin at 6:30 pm. We may be able to maximize our time together by having some additional informal meeting times over dinner or the following morning. Please consider making your travel arrangements to allow meetings on March 27 through noon on the 28th if possible. I will try to nail down agenda in the next few weeks.
Please send suggestions for the NCERA-184 agenda before Jan 27th.

Registration for the meeting should be completed before March 2, 2012. The early registration cost will be $250 for the full conference and $150 for one day. The meeting is located at the Memphis Marriott Downtown with room costs of $135+tax/night. The IPM website contains information on completing both registration and room reservations.
