I know it is becoming increasingly difficult to travel outside the U.S., but if you plan in advance, hopefully, you will be able to make arrangements. Please plan to attend both FDRS and the S-1019 meeting. S-1019 meeting will be held at the beginning as usual (planning for October 14th, 1 pm to 5 pm).

Hello S-1019 members,

Hope you are all getting ready to attend both FDRS and S-1019 meeting in Washington, D.C. Our S-1019 meeting is scheduled on October 15th (Saturday) at 1 pm. The meeting will be held at Council Room in The Hotel Washington. As usual, please be prepared to provide a state report relating to S-1019 project. Also, if you could either email me or provide me a disk copy of the state report, it would help me in preparing the annual report to USDA.

Please send me an email as to whether you will be able to attend the S-1019 annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

Lodging A block of lodging rooms is being held at the hotel at the special conference rate of $150 plus tax per room per night for deluxe single or $170 for deluxe double occupancy rooms. Please make your reservation with the FDRS or Food Distribution Room-Block (the conference is committed to filling so many rooms at the hotel so please make sure you mention this particular room block). To reserve a room, please contact the hotel directly at 1-800-424-9540 or you can also book on-line at the Hotel Washington website by putting in group booking ID number 19483 at http://www.hotelwashington.com/ Be sure you tell them that you are with the FDRS Conference. Rooms at the conference rate are available beginning Friday, October 14th through Thursday, October 20th. Check-in time is 4:00 PM; check-out time is 12:00 pm. Please make your reservations before September 15, 2005. After this date, the room block will be dropped, and the conference rate can no longer be guaranteed and if the hotel FDRS room block fills up prior to this date check the web-site or contact the hotel for additional lodging options.
