- The purpose of our meeting is to develop a report for our funder (H&R Block) and begin the process of analyzing the data. In addition we need to discuss whether a new project will flow from this one.
All of this is dependent on whether our proposal is funded. If funded we will likely invite someone from H&R Block to the meeting as well.
If the proposal is not funded, the group needs to meet to determine how we are going to move the project forward, possibly meeting with other potential funders.

- The NC1013 Research Team is at a critical stage in the development of its multi-state research project titled The Economic and Psychological Determinants of Household Savings Behavior. The group feels it is important to meet face-to-face to refine the conceptual model and create the data collection instrument. We are requesting permission to meet August 9-10 in Chicago to accomplish these goals in order to keep on track for our five year timeline. Your support of our 2nd meeting in 2004 will be greatly appreciated.

The group is working on an external funding proposal that is due before the start of the next FY. I support this request.
