The annual meeting of the technical committee of the S-1045 multistate project will be held at the Tidewater Research Station, Plymouth, NC on June 1 and June 2, 2011. Lodging arrangements have been made at the Holiday Inn Express in Plymouth for the nights of May 31, June 1, and June 2. A group rate of $74.95 plus tax has been negotiated with the motel if registration occurs at least two weeks prior to the meeting. The motel phone number is 252-793-4700. The group code is NC State S1045. If reservations are made after the deadline, the rate will be $99.95 plus tax. Station reports will be presented the mornings of June 1 and 2 with tours held in the afternoon. A registration fee to cover local food arrangements may be charged. Tours have been arranged with several seedstock producers and a representative of Smithfield Premium Genetics, the largest genetic program in the state and possibly the nation, will make a presentation to the group about their program.

The annual meeting of the S1045 technical committee will be held June 2 and 3, 2010 at the Texas A&M University McGregor Research Center. Lodging will be at the Weston Inn Suites in McGregor, TX with room rates of $60 - $70 per night. The agenda will include station reports by Objective on June 2 and the business meeting will be held the morning of June 3. The meeting will include a tour of several area cattle ranches whose operations relate to S1045 objectives. This tour will begin at 10:00am on June 3. Continuation of tour activities on Friday, June 4 is optional for those able to stay on for a third day.
