Technical Tour planned for Thursday. Station reports and completion of the project plan will be on Friday's agenda.
Room rates range from $149 to $199 per night depending upon if the rooms are on the garden side or the ocean side of the hotel. Tax on the room is 10.05% plus a $1 per night assessment tax and an additional $6.75 per night fee as well. There is a $15 additional person fee. Each person is required to contact the hotel directly to make their reservation by June 10th, 2007 and to guarantee their reservation using a credit card.
Each person MUST REFERENCE the "UC Davis - Bio. & Ag." group name in order to receive these special rates and in order for us to fulfill our requirement for a minimum of 8 rooms. The hotel has committed to provide 10 rooms for our group. Any reservations made after June 10th will not receive this same rate per night and may increase the cost of the meeting for the remaining participants.
A registration fee of approximately $50 per person to cover the meeting room cost and the cost of any refreshments and some A/V will depend on the number of people that attend.
We will need to decide if we are going to rent a van for Friday to travel as a single group or if people will be driving in rental cars. I prefer a single van to allow group interaction during the tour and logistical considerations.
Please contact the hotel directly to make reservations as soon as you can. Also contact Dave Slaughter

- Arrive E.L. sometime on Thursday the 7th so we can head out early on Friday (8th) for a tour of some various industries and technologies. The business meeting will be held on campus on Sat. the 9th. The local airport is 15 minutes from campus and that is Lansing, Michigan (LAN). We can try and work on picking people up if they come into Lansing airport. I have elected to go with rooms at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place, 300 M.A.C. Aveue, East Lansing MI, which can be reached at 1-800-228-9290 or 1-517-337-4440. We will be located right in the middle of activity in East Lansing and 1-block from campus (15 minute walk to Ag. Engineering building). They have quoted me a price of $104 per night. Please say you are with the NE-1008 Conference.
