The 2007 meeting of the W6 Western Regional Technical Advisory Committee will be held on the campus of Washington State University, hosted by the Western Regional Plant Introduction Station (WRPIS).

The meeting will begin on Thursday, June 28th with a facilities and farm tour. Reports will be presented on Friday, June 29th in the Regency Room of the Lewis Alumni Center, a remodeled historic barn on the WSU campus.

The registration fee will be for lunches Thursday and Friday, and a BBQ Thursday evening at a local park, Kamiak Butte. The park offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Palouse region.

Vans will be provided for local transportation from the hotel to campus and for the tour.

Schedule

June 28-29, 2007 Thursday: Tour of WRPIS facilities, including our farm at Central Ferry. Lunch will be included. Thursday evening: BBQ dinner at Kamiak Butte County Park Friday: Meeting and reports. Lunch will be provided. A more detailed meeting schedule will be posted as soon as it is available. (see link to website above) Transportation will be provided to all scheduled events.

Lodging

A block of rooms has been reserved for meeting participants at the Pullman Holiday Inn Express. Identify yourself as being with the W6 Technical Advisory commmittee when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by June 13. The rate is $85 per night. A limited number of rooms are also available at the federal rate. Please inquire if interested. This note is to alert you that the Regional Technical Advisory Committees (RTACs), CGC Chairs (CGC Chairs) and Plant Germplasm Operations Committee will meet June 6-8, 2006 in Ames, IA. The meeting will be hosted by the North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station. Members of the National Plant Germplasm Coordinating Committee (NPGCC) will meet in conjunction with this meeting also.

Daily Events: Monday, June 5: Travel day to Ames fly into Des Moines, IA (airport code DSM)

Tuesday, June 6: W-6 Regional TACs and CGC Chairs will meet separately

Hotel Information: The germplasm conferences will be held at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center in Ames, and a block of rooms is being held on the nights of June 5-8 for your reservations.
